Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. This is a request for quotations (RFQ) and the solicitation number is M6700101Q0042. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-27 and DFAR Change Notices effective through 12/13/00. The proposed acquisition is unrestricted. The North American Industry Classification standard code is 311812 and the small business size standard is 500 emplyees. This requirement is to provide delivery of bakery and dairy products to thirteen (13) mess halls aboard Camp Lejeune, NC to include the following items/estimated quantities: 1. Bagels, fresh, assorted, 4 oz. ea -- 1232 dozen per month; 2. Bagels, fresh, plain, 4 oz ea. -- 374 dozen per month; 3. Cream Cheese, assorted, specialty, -- packaged in 1 oz containers/ 640 lbs. per month; 4. Cream Cheese, plain packaged in 1 oz. containers/ 64 lbs. per month; 5. Muffins, assorted -- 502 dozen per month; 6. Muffin, Banana nut -- 220 dozen per month. The period of performance will be 01 Oct 2001 through 31 Mar 2002 but is subject to cancellation pending the award and start up of a Regional Food Service Contract. The products delivered must not be more than three (3) hours old and deliveries shall be made by 5:30 A.M. daily. The products shall be packaged in sanitary containers and refrigerated items must be packaged and transported in appropriate containers.
