- Non-Nuclear Engineering/Technical Services in support to the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, Portsmouth, NH. Formally advertised as N00102-02-R-1905. This competitive procurement is to negotiate and award a Cost Plus Fixed Fee, Multiple Award, Level of Effort, Indefinite Delivery Contract. The contract period will be one base year plus four option years with 70,000 estimated man-hours per year. Submission of technical cost and pricing data is required. Contractor will be required to design, develop and or modify plans, test procedures, feasibility studies, plan schedules, process instructions (PIs) and Uniform Industrial Process Instructions (UIPIs). Procure and/or manufacture material and components and provide onsite support necessary to accomplish various alterations, repair and improvements on submarines, submersibles, rescue vehicles, surface vessels, naval equipment, and fa cilities. Various labor categories include, but not limited to, Project Manager, Naval Architect, Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics Engineer, Engineering Technician, Draftsperson, Quality Assurance/Equipment/Technical Specialist, Mathematician/Computer Programmer, Logistician, Editorial Clerk and Word Processor. This solicitation document and amendments will be made available on Navy Electronic Commerce Online (NECO) which can be accessed at http://www.neco.navy.mil lists Business Opportunities for several Naval activities including Portsmouth Naval Shipyard. Solicitations issued by the Shipyard can be found under Command/Site N00102. Solicitations will be available on or about 07 March 2003. Proposal conference will be held 10 days after issuance of solicitation.
