Description
DESCRIPTION *This is a Request for Quotes - all attachments are Final Solicitation documents. Request for Quotes are due June 23rd, 2025, by 4:00 PM Pacific Time. * A site visit is scheduled for 06/05/2025 at 0900 AM Local Time to view the project area and discuss the objectives of this contract. The site visit meeting spot will be the OR-138 and Forest Service 70 road intersection. To get to the meeting spot from the Chemult Ranger Station go south on US-97 for 10.4 miles and turn right onto OR-138 W. Drive for 6.4 miles before turning left onto Forest Service 70 road. For information regarding the Site Visit, contact Emerson Cogburn at emerson.cogburn@usda.gov. Background: The Tiny G-Z Stewardship IRSC shall be awarded under the following authority: Stewardship Authority: Section 604 (16 USC 6591c) of Public Law 108-148 as amended by Section 8205 of Public Law 113-79, the Agricultural Act of 2014�Grants the U.S. Forest Service (Government) permanent authority to enter into stewardship contracts or agreements to achieve land management goals for the National Forests or public lands that meet local and rural community needs. Section 8205 supersedes the temporary authority granted to the Forest Service (Government) in section 347 of Public Law 105-277, the Omnibus Consolidated and Emergency Appropriations Act, 1999. NAICS: 115310: Support Services for Forestry, size standard: 34M Fuels Management Services. Stewardship authorities permit the Government to solicit this requirement as Full and Open competition. Project Location: The project is located near the town of Chemult, Oregon. The project is just south of Highway 138, west of of Highway 97 and on the east side of Crater Lake National Park. Legal description is: T28S R06E, T28S R07E, T29S R06E, T29S R07E, and T30S R06E, T30S R07E. Willamette Meridian, Klamath County, Oregon. Period of Performance: All work shall be completed by December 31, 2028. Description of Work: The objectives of this project are to increase forest health and resiliency to insects, disease, and uncharacteristic wildfire. Other project objectives to reach these goals include: Contractor completed end-results from the NEPA handoff to final completion of product removal. Commercial harvest and removal of Included Timber Non-commercial thinning Fuels reduction techniques, including mastication Whole Tree Yarding Existing road maintenance work Individual Tree Selection Awarded contract will be a commercial services contract with requirements for timber removal. The contract shall be awarded using a best value source selection method; the resulting contract shall be a firm fixed price commercial services contract.
