- Description
- The U.S. Embassy London has a requirement for a contractor to provide cooking services work and cleaning, including furnishing all labor and services, for a period of one year with one option year which may be exercised at the unilateral discretion of the U.S. Government. The offer price shall include the cost of all labor including Holiday and Sick cover, taxes, insurance, pension, overhead, and profit (all food and equipment will be provided by the U.S. Embassy). The contractor will be fully insured and possess all necessary licenses and certificates as may be required under UK law to undertake the work. The position is full time, 0800 to 1600 each day, Monday through Friday. There is a position incumbent who will be covered under Transfer of Undertakings Protection of Employment (TUPE) law. The contractor will be required to provide/manage the following services with all attendant administration: Daily cooking and serving of three daily meals for approximately 14 people Cleaning of kitchen, all dishes and appliances after each meal The incumbent has been security cleared by the U.S. Embassy and any employee of the contractor providing services including Holiday or Sick cover will require U.S. Embassy security clearance as well. Security clearance can take approximately thirty days and so must be initiated in advance of the contractor commencing the contract. Only companies specializing in this field should provide a quotation. When responding to this solicitation, the Contractor must certify that: they are in compliance in all respects with all applicable Federal anti-discrimination laws, and agree that such certification is material to the government�s payment decisions for purposes of section 31 USC 3729(b)(4) (False Claims Act); and they do not operate any programs promoting Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion that violate any applicable Federal anti-discrimination laws. Is compulsory for all companies doing business with the U.S. Government valued over USD $30,000 to register on a website called �SAM � System for Award Management� at www.sam.gov. The website compiles standard information such as a company�s legal name, street address, contact information, and the type of goods and services it offers. To register in SAM, an NCAGE code must be obtained first. Interested parties are strongly encouraged to register their business as soon as possible to avoid any delay in making an award to the successful bidder. System updates may lag policy updates. The System for Award Management (SAM) may continue to require entities to complete representations based on provisions that are not included in agency solicitations, including 52.223-22, Public Disclosure of Greenhouse Gas Emissions and Reduction Goals�Representation, and paragraph (t) of 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications�Commercial Products and Commercial Services. Agencies will not consider or use these representations. Entities are not required to, nor are they able to, update their entity registration to remove these representations in SAM Please note that the RFQ documentation is not yet ready to be issued.
