- Below (a) thru (d) added for clarification and answer questions (a) CLARIFICATION: This RFI is for miscellaneous research, testing and evaluation of armored vehicle systems, subsystems and components to support the DS mission. The intent is to have an agile mechanism through which DS can investigate and remedy issues with armored vehicles as they emerge and to characterize suspected issues. (b) Are you accepting separate capability statement submittals for each objective (Armored Vehicle Program and Physical Security Division)? Or is each proposed contractor/team required to cover both objectives together? In other words, can we respond only to Physical Security Division objectives? Answer: The Governement will accept Separate capability statement submittals for each objective. (c) Can potential contractor/teams submit capabilities statements for specific items under the main objectives (for example, can a contractor respond only to items 2C and 2D under Physical Security Division Objectives), or the response must cover all items under the main objective? Answer: Yes, contractor can respond only to items 2C and 2D under Physical Security Division Objectives. Responses do not need to cover all items under the main objective. (d) Is the list of approved labs to conduct SD-STD-01.01 FEBR certification testing publicly available? if so, can it be provided? Answer: See attachment. --------------------------------------------- This is not a request for formal proposals or quotes. The intent of this form is to gather market research to make appropriate acquisition decisions and to gain knowledge of potential qualified businesses interested and capable of performing the proposed contract work. The primary objective of the proposed requirement is to establish an Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ), Multiple Award contract for engineering and support services for the Department of State, Bureau of Diplomatic Security, Countermeasures Directorate, Office of Physical Security Programs. This includes services for (1) Defensive Equipment and Armored Vehicle Division and (2) Physical Security Division. For submission requirements refer to the attached document.
