Description
The project consists of the design and construction of the Baca/Dlo'ay azhi Consolidated Replacement School, near Prewitt, McKinley County, New Mexico. The acquisition is unrestricted, open to both large and small business concerns. NAICS is 233320/ SIC Code 1542, with a size standard of $27,500,000.00. The magnitude of construction is between $10,000,000.00 and $25,000,000.00. Bonding will be required for this acquisition. The offerors attention is directed to Section 00100 in the Solicitation for inf ormation regarding the tour of the site. The approximate construction period is 450 calendar days. Plans will be issued on or about January 14, 2002, with proposals due on or about February 14, 2002. This solicitation will not be issued in paper. Large business firms are required to submit a subcontracting plan with the following minimum goals: 61.4% for small business; 9.1% for small disadvantaged business; 5.0% for women-owned small business; 1.5% for HUBZone small business; and 3% for service-disabl ed veteran-owned small business. Work consists of the design and construction of a new K -- 6 elementary school that will house 390 students. The current facility is substandard and will be either demolished or abandoned. The new school will be constructed on the current Baca Community S chool site and will be structured academically into three grade level areas: Kindergarten through 2nd grade; 3rd and 4th grades; and 5th and 6th grades. Major spaces include a media/technology center, cafeteria/kitchen, administration, multi-purpose spac e for physical education, classrooms and support spaces. The contractor will also be required to provide a Campus Master Plan to address such things as vehicular circulation, parking, playing fields/outdoor spaces, site utilities, campus entry and securit y. Two proposed options include additional square footage for performance area and wood flooring for the gym. The selection process used for this solicitation will be a two-phase design-build Request for Proposal. Phase One shall require the offeror to submit relevant qualifications, including experience and past performance, and overall technical/design approach . Phase Two shall require the offeror to submit a unique technical solution for this project in the form of drawings, narratives, management plan, schedule, and price. No more than 5 offerors will be selected for Phase Two. Proposed procurement will res ult in a fixed-price contract. When you get to the site, click on Contracting and then Solicitation Number. On this page that is titled, EBS Albuquerque District, click on the solicitation number you are interested in. When the next screen comes up, go to Solicitation Registration and click on Register For This Solicitation. If you have not registered previously, click on New User and follow the instructions for Login Information. This will require you to establish a use r name and password. Keep the user name and password and share it with anyone else in your organization that is responsible for registering your firm on the Plan Holders List.
