Description

This procurement is unrestricted; all responsible sources may submit a quotation. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commerical services prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a separate written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number N68836-02-T-0086 applies and is issued as a Request for Quotation. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 90-37 and Defense Acquisition Circular 91-10. The NAICS Code is 513210 with a dollar amount of $11. This requirement is for a fixed price contract. The Statement of work reads: Provide services for 191 CATV outlets at Naval Station Pascagoula, Singing River Island, Pascagoula MS 39595; Period of Performance: 12 months, 01 Jan 02 through 31 Dec 03. Contractor shall provide install and maintain existing GFE C-band/Ku-band, equipment and new equipment installed to support Cable Television. Equipment Configuration shall reutilize existing GFE satellite processor for off-air programs and other programs to be activated upon installation of equipment. Additional Ku-band satellite anntenna with dual circular polarity LBN will be required. A signal path from the new antenna to the head-end equipment rack must be provided also. Existing programs to be reinstalled: Classic Art showcase, EWTN, Shop NBC, Hall mark Channel, The Weather Channel, Deutche Welle, The Inspirational Channel, WLOX Biloxi (ABC13), WMPI Mobile (NBC15), WKRG Mobile (CBS05) WXXV Gulfport (FOX25), WMAH Biloxi (PBX19) The Command Channel (02). Existing channels are Command Channel-WKRG (CBS), Fox 25, PBS 19; News/Financial/Current Affairs; Sports, General Interest, The Learning Channels, Kids, Music and More, and Premium. The provisions at FAR 52.212-1, Instruction to Offerors -- Commercial Items, FAR 52.212-2, Evaluation -- Commercial Items, FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications Commercial Items apply. FAR 52.219-1 Small Business Program Representative Alternate II applies. DFAR 252.225-7000 Buy American Act -- Balance of Payment Program Certification aplies. The government intends to make a single award to the responsible contractor whose quotation is the most advantageous to government considering price, compatibility with existing equipment and availability. Acceptance will be at destination. Quotations sent via the US Postal Service should be mailed to Fleet and Industrial Supply Center, NAVSTA Bldg 50, Pascagoula MS 39595-3500. All quotations not sent through the US mail will be considered to be hand carried and direct delivered. Hand deliver to NAVSTA Pascagoula, Bldg 50, Pascagoula MS 39595-3500 during weekdays, excluding federal holidays, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Faxed quotations will be accepted during those hours only.***************
