Description

The North Florida/South Georgia Veterans Health Care System, Department of Veteran Affairs Medical Center, Lake City, FL intends to award a contract for Project #573-01-102,Upgrade Electrical Distribution System. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment and superivison necessary for replacement of 5 KV class metal clad outdoor switch-gear with new. The project includes construction of a new CMU and brick building, manholes, duct banks, medium voltage cables, splices, landscaping, and miscellaneous construction as indicated in the drawings and specifications. The estimated cost range is $500,000 to $1,000,000. The Government intends to award a firm fixed price contract in accordance with all terms, conditions, provisions, specifications, drawings and schedules of the solicitation, Subject to the Availability of Funds. The NAICS code is 235310 with a size standard of $11.5 million. THIS SOLICITATION IS A TOTAL HUB-ZONE SET-ASIDE. BIDS WILL ONLY BE CONSIDERED FROM SMALL BUSINESSES THAT APPEAR ON THE LIST OF QUALIFIED HUBZONE SMALL BUSINESS CONCERNS MAINTAINED BY THE SMALL BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION, REFERENCE FAR 52.219-3. http://pronet.sba.gov. The issue date is 12/6/01. The pre-bid conference will be held 12/20/01 at 10:00am in Room 11, Bldg. 62. The bid opening is 1/8/02 at 3:00pm in Room 11, Bldg. 62.
