Description

PACKING,CONTAINERZATION,AND LOCAL DRAYAGE OF PERSONAL PROPERTY: The contractor shall furnish all personnel, equipment, facilities, supplies, services and materials, except as specified herein as Government-furnished, for the preparation of personal property of Department of Defense personnel for packing, containerization and local drayage of personal property and related services. The initial contract period shall run from 1 January 2002 through 31 December 2002. Option Year 1 is 1 January 2003 through 31 December 2003. Option Year 2 is 1 January 2004 through 31 December 2004. Option Year 3 is 1 January 2005 through 31 December 2005. Services under this contract are required to be performed at the following location(s): Area I -- Kent and Sussex Counties, Delaware (no terminals). Area II -- Caroline, Dorchester, Kent, Queen Anne, Somerset, Talbot, Wicomico and Worcester Counties, Maryland (no terminals). Area III -- New Castle County, Delaware (no terminals). Schedule III -- Intra City and Intra -Area Moves: Notwithstanding the=20 NAICS CODE: 488991. SMALL BUSINESS SIZE IS $18.5 MILLION. This solicitation is 100% set aside for small business. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency. All prospective offerors must have a commercial and government entity (CAGE) code and be registered with Central Contractor Registration (CCR) at: http://ccr2000.com/. The government award will be based on "best value" with the evaluation factors to be set forth in the solicitation. The government reserves the right to award to other than the lowest price. If the Contracting Officer determines that the number of proposals that would otherwise be in the competitive range exceeds the number at which an efficient competition can be conducted, the Contracting Officer may limit the number of proposals in the competitive range to the greatest number that will permit an efficient competition among the most highly rated proposals.
