Description

MEDCOM Contracting Center intends to award a firm fixed price contract to alter switch node, Bldg. 1002, Fort Sam Houston, Texas, using simplified acquisition procedures. The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, and any other items necessary to create door opening between 129 and 130, create passage way between rooms 128 and 129, replace carpet in room 128 with non-conductive vct, replace light fixtures, provide independent climate control system for rooms 128 and 129, install new power panel to support additional equipment, provide electrical to support alteration in bldg. 1002. Central Contractor Registration (CCR) and Database and Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) are mandatory for award and payment. The solicitation will be issued on or about December 4, 2001. If you plan to request a copy of the solicitation, please request a copy by noon on December 3, 2001. Interested parties desiring to visit the site will meet at Building 4196, MEDCOM Contracting Center (Facilities Division), 2107 17th Street, Fort Sam Houston, TX at 1000 on December 11, 2001. The site visit will only be available during this time. All prospective contractors are urged to visit the site where services are to be performed and to satisfy themselves regarding all general and local conditions that my affect the cost. If you plan to visit the site, please inform Ms. Harvey by fax or e-mail by noon on December 7, 2001. This is a 100% set-aside for small business hubzone. Hubzone certification is required. The NAICS code 235310 and related small business size standard is 11.5 million. Request for solicitation must be in writing or e-mail, no telephone response will be accepted. Prospective offerors should submit the company name, address, phone number, FAX number and point of contact. All responsible Hubzone sources may submit an offer which will be considered.
