Description
Provide all necessary Architectural and Engineering Services for the development of conceptual drawings, design, development drawings, and construction documents for the above project. A/E shall assist in the evaluation of the existing hemodialysis functional operation plans located on 9 West in Bldg. 1, New York Harbor Healthcare System, Brooklyn Campus. Specifics: A) Complete renovation of future hemodialysis space will be located on either 6 West or 6 East. Work will involve architectural alterations to create a functional area and will include the upgrading of the plumbing, electrical, and HVAC system. The nurse station and ancilliary support areas will be reconfigured to provide a more efficient working environment. All work must comply with VA design critera, patient privacy standards and ADA requirements. Develop construction documents for the balance of the vacated space on the 6th floor as determined by VA personnel. The design shall incorporate the necessary relocation of existing functions as required to implement the construction of hemodialysis. Modification/Replacement of existing of HVAC System, plumbing, electric, lighting and asbestos abatement. A/E shall incorporate certified industrial hygienist to perform asbestos abatement documents and review all asbestos submittals. The construction documents shall incorporate all necessary construction phasing as required to implement the construction. The VA standards, details and specifications shall be used for the preparation of design documents: H-08-3 VA construction standards, VA H-08-3, Vol I-Vol IV (Building Systems), VA H-08-9 planning criteria, HVAC design standards. All designs will conform to NFPA 101 Life Safety Code, NFPA 99 Health Code Facilites, NEC, etc. Proivde a detailed cost estimate for the project of the completion of conceptual design, design development, 60% construction documents and 100% construction documents. The A/E shall have access to all available "as-built" drawings: mechanical, plumbing, electrical, structural, architectural, asbestos survey. The A/E shall provide construction period service during construction and site inspections are required in this project. The estimated construction range is between $2,000,000.00 and $3,000,000.00. Estimated completion time 150 calander days. This is a 100% small business set-aside.
