Description

The purpose of this synopsis is to identify potential sources with the capability to provide workstations configured with assistive technology hardware (AT), such as Braille devices, and AT software such as JAWS, MAGic, and Dragon Naturally Speaking. Training on assistive technology hardware, installation, integration and maintenance services will also be part of this requirement. This requirement is in support of approximately 1,100 Social Security Administration (SSA) employees with disabilities. These employees work in offices located throughout the United States. Training is to be performed at the employees work location on the equipment/software provided. Maintenance will require that the failed equipment/software be returned to service by close of business the next day. Due to the complex nature of this requirement, the Government has placed additional, more specific information, in a separate attachment. Interested vendors may access this information at http://www.fedbizopps.gov Any firm that feels they have the capability and experience in this field to perform must respond, in writing, within 15 days of this notice. Responses must be specific to this requirement and must include detailed information outlining their experience and capabilities. The Government is looking for vendors who have performed similar efforts in the past. Vendors must provide three references along with their response. Vendors must also indicate if the required services, hardware and software are available off of a GSA schedule contract. Acknowledgement of responses received will not be provided. Responses to this notice must be submitted in duplicate and must refer to SSA-02-EWD-SSS. Requests for copies of a solicitation will not be honored or acknowledged. Faxed responses are not permitted.
