Description
The Technology Applications Office at Fort Detrick MD is issuing this notice as a Request for Information announcement. There is no intention of issuing a solicitation at or awarding a contract at this time. We are looking for a contractor who can provid e the installation of the antenna portion and the integration of the supporting RF for a Multi-carrier (X-band) Defense Communications Satellite System (DSCS) Super High Frequency (SHF) Earth Terminal. The system design shall comply with the DOD Joint Technical Architecture (JTA). In addition to meeting the requirements of this specification, the system shall operate with any spacecraft of the Defense Satellite Communications System (DSCS). The contractor shall install, integrate and certify the RF electronics equipment using the existing RF shelter. -- The system shall meet the following minimum standards: -- 200 degrees of azimuth movement -- 70 Mhz IF interface -- 6 full duplex carriers -- status and control via software -- Reflector size between 9 and 12 meters to support disadvantaged VSATs -- System integration shall allow for the most efficient means for operating and maintaining the multi-carrier antenna system as a threshold. -- As an optimum the system should meet the following: -- multiband/multicarrier X and Ku carriers; meeting North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) , SYRACUSE, International Telecommunication Satellite Organization (INTELSAT), Pan American Satellite Organization (PANAMSAT), SKYNET4, Hispanic Satelli te (HISPASAT), and Domestic satellites. The system shall also operate with the Wideband Gapfiller satellite system when that space segment is operational. -- Interested vendors may contact Mr. Patrick Grove for an electronic Statement of Work at pat.grove@tao.army.mil.
