Description

The Federal Correctional Complex, Florence, Colorado, is soliciting for optometry services for federal prisoners. Services consist of optometric evaluations including occular pressure testing and visual field testing, treatment recommendations anad written prescriptions for visual refraction correction. The contractor must have a doctorate degree in medicine or osteopathy and be licensed to practice optometry in the state of Colorado. Board certification and experience in a correctional environment is preferred. Services will be provided at the Federal Correctional Complex in Florence, Colorado, which includes the Federal Correctional Institution and Federal Prison Camp, United States Penitentiary, and Administrative Maximum Penitentiary. Services will be required for one base year (date of award through September 30, 2002) and four one year option periods running from October first of each year through September 30th of the following year. The estimated quantity for each performance period is 60, six hour sessions during a twelve month period. All responsible sources are encouraged to submit a bid which will be considered for award.
