Description

The U.S. Army Signal Command has a requirement for nonpersonal services for local telephone exchange services for Fort Hood, TX. The proposed contract is for a base year with four one-year options. The local exchange services provider, certified by the state of Texas, shall provide local commercial communications service for Fort Hood, TX which shall include, as a minimum but not limited to, local access for commercial subscriber lines, analog trunks, digital trunks, local exchange digital (ISDN PRI) trunks, centrex lines, directory number and number portability. All responsible sources may submit an offer that shall be considered. Sources responding to this requirement must indicate in writing, whether they are a large, small, disadvantaged and /or women-owned business. For this acquisition, a concern will be considered small under NAICS code 51331/51333 and SIC code 4813 with size standard of 1500 employees. This requirement shall be a commercial fixed price type contract. The solicitation can be viewed and downloaded from the Interagency Business Opportunity Page. The Government will conduct a preproposal conference and site visit on 15 November 2001at Fort Hood, TX, Bldg 13, Supply Ave. The conference will be from 1:00-2:00 pm (approximately) and will be followed by a site visit from 2:00 3:00 pm. Offerors planning to attend are required to notify the specialist listed below, in writing, of all attendees' names (not to exceed three per company) prior to 13 November 2001 (NOTE: Offerors shall provide the attendees' names, so access can be granted prior to the pre-proposal conference). An e-mail response to the specialist listed below is acceptable. Questions received prior to the conference must be received before 13 November 2001. Questions generated as a result of the preproposal conference must be received before 23 November 2001. Written responses to offeror-generated questions will be provided to all Offerors.
