Description

The United States Environmental Protection Agency (US EPA) intends to award a sole source fixed price purchase order to the National Academy of Sciences National Research Council (NAS/NRC) for periodic broad-based, expect scientific information and counsel in support of EPA's programmatic and policy functions in the specific areas of air quality and climate change. NAS has a unique capability to support EPA's programmatic and policy functions regarding air quality and climate change by organizing and hosting a wide array of expert scientific consultations. NAS has both a unique and in-depth understanding of who the relevant scientific experts are and has ready access to these experts as well. Given the potential range of science-based issues and topics of interest to the EPA, the NAS is uniquely qualified to support these wide-ranging yet specific interests in a timely manner.
