Description

This action is a modification to the notice originally published in the CBD, notice 50V905 posted on August 24, 2001. This modification to the solicitation extends the due date to September 25, 2001, and provides responses to questions that have been received on the above solicitation: 1) Approximate number of RML personnel complement: Answer: 225-250 2) Approximate number of people to be relocated: Answer: 125-150 3) Approximate amount of lab equipment and casework to be moved: Answer: 2,000 pieces. 4) Approximately number of buildings to be commissioned and their sizes. Answer: Four buildings with gross square footages of 25,000, 10,000, 4,000 and 23,000 each. 5) Total number of buildings on campus. Answer: 32. Average number of rooms in each. Answer: 16, buildings could range from multiple laboratories and offices to one room warehouse/storage buildings. 6) Total sq. ft. of floor space in all buildings on RML campus. Answer: 186,000. 7) Approximate number of pieces of equipment to be installed coincident with construction. This relates to facility systems such as HVAC, chillers, roof warranties, etc. Answer: broad estimate: 25. 8) Approximate number of biological safety cabinets and chemical fume hoods that will be relocated. Answer: 20-25. 9) Frequency of meetings that contractor will be expected to be represented at. Answer: Possible Weekly and Monthly meetings will be held on site in Hamilton; however, 1-2 meetings during the award period may be held in Seattle, WA.
