Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This is a simplified acquisition being issued as a request for quotation (RFQ), number SSA-RFQ-01-0498. This is a simplified acquisition 100% small business set-aside. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 421430. This request for quotation and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-27. BRAND NAME OR EQUAL: Quoters shall provide pricing for the purchase of the following: (1) Overland Data SDLT LoaderXpress tape autoloader; includes 10 slot autoloader mechanism with one SDLT 220 tape drive, external SCSI cable, terminator and one piece of media. Shall include a 3year, Overland GUTS warranty, which provides advance replacement of entire unit in case of failure. Stand-alone form factor. Ultra 2 SCSI/LVD interface. 1.1 TB native/2.2TB compressed capacity. 39.6 TB native/79.2 TB compressed transfer rates. Part # LXL 1S10T (Quantity 4). (2) Quantum branded Super DL tape media 110/220gb. Part # MR-SAMCL-01 (Quantity 40). (3) Veritas Backup Exec C8.6 Server Edition with 1-Year maintenance Part # BE-NTC-075860-LA(Quantity 4). Delivery shall be made to the Social Security Administration, Washington, DC 20254-0001. Offeror is requested to quote F.O.B. destination pricing. The provisions at FAR Part 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors Commercial Items apply to this acquisition. There are no addendums to these provisions. FAR Part 52.212-2, Evaluation-Commercial Items apply to this acquisition. The Government will award a Purchase Order resulting from this request for quotation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government based on price. Offeror is advised to include a completed copy of the provision at FAR Part 52.212-3 Offeror Representations and Certification-Commercial Items, with their quote.
