Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation/synopsis reference number is F38610-01-T0017 is being issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-27. This acquisition is 100% set-aside for small businesses. The associated NAICS code is 3337215 with a size standard of 500 employees. Contractors shall submit a lump sum proposal for all labor and materials included in this project. All responsible sources may submit a quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. The requirement is to furnish and install an Interlock, Euromat or equal, vertical metal carousel storage system. Unit will be capable of loading 4? X 12? sheets of aluminum in stacks of 1? to 2? X 700 lbs per stack. The clear ceiling height is 30 feet. The machine type is a single loop vertical carousel (four sprocket design). MECHANICAL SPECIFICATIONS: Carrier -- Four levels with clear space of 12? 05? wide X 4?2? deep X 6? high; Machine -- 16? wide by 130? deep x 21?2? high; Capacities -- 10 carriers @ 2,000 lbs ea (28,000 lbs), total loads stored is 40 (10 carriers X 4 per carrier). ELECTRICAL SPECIFICATIONS: Motors -- Two @1.5 kw per each helical beveled geared drives, 220 volts, 3 phase, 60 cycle, standard up/down control with E-stop.
