Description

AH-64D Longbow Apache Program Fiscal Year (FY)02 requires the completion of qualification of SIRFC and SIIRCM, on a production Longbow Apache aircraft. The basic contract requirements will include completion of the software design documents, software codi ng development and testing for SIRFC/SIIRCM and legacy aviation support equipment, and porting to version 6.0. Additionally, the contract will include a priced option for productionization of the SIRFC/SIIRCM A-Kit designs. The Government intends to award a delivery order to contract DAAH23-98-G-0049 to sole source contractor McDonnell Douglas Helicopter Company, M510-A386, 5000 E. McDowell Road, Mesa, AZ 85215-9797 under the authority and Justification for Other Than Full and Open Competition of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), only one source or a limited number of responsible sources are able to satisfy agency requirements. There is no technical data package and no solicitation will be issued. This is a follow-on requirement for the Longbow Apache requirement.
