Description

The Defense Information Systems Agency intends to award a sole source contract to VideoTele.com, a Tektronix Company of Lake Oswego, Oregon for acquisition of the following commercial items: Astria Encoding System, Aveon Element Management Software/Equipment, Video Access Multiplexor. The addition of this equipment will enable the output of the Tektronix/VideoTel M2T300 MPEG-2 chassis to incorporate MPEG-2 UDP IP packets in addition to the current MPEG-2 ATM cell output to allow all JBS/BC2A customers to utilize the Global Broadcasting System for sensor feeds and reception. This equipment is available only from VideoTele.com. This synopsis is a notice of intent to issue an award that is other than full and open competition and should not be considered a request for competitive quotations. The determination of the Government not to open this requirement to full and open competition was made in accordance with FAR Part 6.302-1 and 10 USC 2304(c)(1) and is solely at the discretion of the Government.
