Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center at Miami, Florida is planning to negotiate a sole source acquisition with Vision Sciences to provide five (5) each nasopharyngoscopes designed with a slide on endosheath system and five (5) each light guide sleeves for endolux 2 light. This is considered to be a sole source because Vision Sciences is the only company that can provide an ENT scope with the disposable sheath feature, a proven effective barrier to micro-organisms that is sterile, disposable and slides on the scope before a patient exam and then slides off after the exam. This is important in that it ensure a sterile insertion tube for each patient. ENT-2000 Scope: 1) Optical System with a view field of 80 degrees and a depth of field of 3-50mm, 2) Bending Section with a range of tip bending of 135 degrees up and down, 3) an insertion tip with and outer diameter of 3.66mm and 4) working length of 300mm.
