Description

The U.S. Department of Transportation, John A. Volpe National Transportation Systems Center (Volpe Center), Cambridge, MA is assisting the U. S. Environmental Protection Agency with the Libby Asbestos Project. As part of this project, the Volpe Center is conducting site remediation activities at the former W. R. Grace Screening Facility (herein referred to as the Railroad Loading Facility) in the town of Libby, Lincoln County, Montana. For this procurement, the Volpe Center has a requirement for a contractor to install a replacement 6-lane, 400-meter running track at the Libby Middle School in accordance with the design plans and specifications. The contractor shall perform work in accordance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) guidelines. The Government intends to award a firm-fixed-price contract. This solicitation is a HUBZone Small Business Concern Set-Aside in accordance with FAR 19.13. The North American Industry Classification Systems Code is 234990 and the Small Business size standard is $27.5 million. All Offerors shall be certified as a HUBZone Small Business Concern by the Small Business Administration.
