Description
The U.S. Army TACOM-ARDEC solicits interest from companies to commercialize a new telescoping cartridge technology which allows for the development of a variety of low impulse ammunition types for the 40mm MK19 Grenade Machine Gun and other weapons, including blank training, non-lethal, and limited range training ammunition. The U.S. Army, as represented by TACOM-ARDEC, wishes to license U.S. Patent 6,178,889 Low Impulse Telescoping Cartridge, issued on January 30, 2001, on a non-exclusive, partially exclusive, or exclusive basis. TACOM-ARDEC will also consider offers for collaboration in a Cooperative Research and Development Agreement (CRADA) to work with Army engineers to co-develop low impulse non-lethal and training ammunition. Additional information is available at the Internet link listed below, and at the TACOM-ARDEC (Picatinny) booth at the Joint Services Small Arms Exhibition in Little Rock, Arkansas, August 13-16, 2001. Any company interested in licensing the technology, and/or entering into a CRADA must respond with a Letter of Interest. Respondents that wish to enter into negotiations for a patent license will be required to submit a commercialization business plan prior to license negotiation. Please send letters of interest to Tim Ryan, U.S. Army TACOM-ARDEC, ATTN: AMSTA-AR-AST, Building 1, Picatinny Arsenal, NJ 07806-5000; phone (973)724-7953; email tryan@pica.army.mil.
