Description

The National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS) through the ADP Acquisitions Branch, Program Support Center, intends to award a sole source simplified acquisition to the Joint Program in Survey Methodology. The objectives of this simplified acquisition are to 1) identify web survey research issues of interest to NCHS with an ultimate goal of pursuing specific research in some of the identified areas (the NCHS has interest in identifying topics of particular concern in the conduct of surveys of health care establishments); 2) document the results of developing, pretesting and fielding survey prototypes; and, 3) convene an experts conference and present the findings of research performed under this contract. Closing date is August 16, 2001. This proposed requirement for which the Government intends to solicit only one source is under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b). Interested concerns may identify their interest and submit a capability statement that demonstrates their ability to provide the services required. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. No solicitation is available; therefore, requests for such document will be considered invalid responses. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no affirmative responses are received within 10 days from the date of this synopsis, the Contracting Officer will proceed with the award to the Joint Program in Survey Methodology. Responses must be received in writing and refer to 01C103127 to the attention of Susan Moran.
