Description

NASA/MSFC plans to issue a Request for Offer (RFO) for three (3) each, quick disconnects numbers 2, 6, 7, 8, 9, 11, and 13 listed in Table 1 of MSFC-SPEC-3116 Rev B (Page 10); four (4) each, quick disconnects numbers 1, 3, 5, and 10 listed in Table 1 of MSFC-SPEC-3116 Rev B (Page 10); and, six (6) each of quick disconnects numbers 4 and 14 listed in Table 1 of MSFC-SPEC-3116 Rev B (Page 10). The fluid quick disconnects will be used in support of the Materials Science Research Rack 1 (MSRR-1) which will be located in the International Space Station. MSFC-SPEC-3116 Rev B is available on the NASA/MSFC Business Opportunities home page at http://nais.msfc.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/EPS/bizops.cgi?gr=C&pin=62 This procurement will be conducted utilizing NASA midrange procedures. The Government does not intend to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. See Note 26. This is an unrestricted procurement to be procured on a full and open competitive basis. The NAICS Code and Size Standard are 332912 and 500 employees or less, respectively. The DPAS Rating for this procurement is DO-C9. The provisions and clauses in the RFO and model contract will be those in effect through FAC 97-27. All qualified responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. The anticipated release date of RFO is on or about August 22, 2001 with an anticipated quote due date of on or about September 21, 2001. An ombudsman has been appointed -- See NASA Specific Note "B". The solicitation and any documents related to this procurement will be available over the Internet. These documents will be in Microsoft Office 97 format and will reside on a World Wide Web (WWW) server, which may be accessed using a WWW browser application.
