Description
The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) is soliciting bids for the Repair/Rehabilitation WMATA System Wide (JOB ORDER CONTRACT); ESTIMATED BID OPENING DATE: August 20, 2001 Contact: Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) Plans Room, Stone Straw Building, 900 Franklin St., N. E., Washington, D.C. 20017, phone (202) 269-4575 for solicitation package. The subject acquisition is for a broad range of maintenance, repair, and minor construction work on real property at WMATA Property System Wide. The work is required in support of ORIP Program. The contract will be an indefinite delivery-indefinite quantity type contract and will include a wide variety of individual construction tasks as identified in the Unit Price Book (UPB). During the contract period, the Authority's Representative will identify construction tasks, negotiate and issue individual task orders to complete each specific job. The contractor will be required to furnish all materials, equipment, and personnel necessary to manage and accomplish the projects. Individual jobs will vary in size and complexity. The work includes, but is not limited to: Restoration of existing facilities; clearing and grubbing; paving (both asphalt and PCC); concrete walkways, curbs, and gutters; pavement markings; storm sewers; plumbing and fire lines; seeding and sodding; structural and ornamental steel; glazing; roofing; tile/paver tile; field painting; parking fee collection/toll control equipment; fencing; electrical and lighting; HVAC, interior renovation; roof and waterproofing; parking lot equipment; electricians services; carpenter services; high voltage technicians services; crane operator services; welding services; escort services. The guaranteed contract minimum is $250,000, and the proposed maximum is $37,000,000. The average value of task order under the current contract $115,000, with a range from $1,500 to $750,000. The performance period will be a thirty six month basic year with two twelve-month option years. Due to the size of the solicitation, a $30 fee, payable to WMATA, is required for each copy of the solicitation package requested. =20
