Description

Provide all supervision, plant, labor, equipment, and materials necessary to perform all work in connection with the installation of eighteen (18) stationary armor target positions and five (5) Stationary Infantry Target (S.I.T.) positions; removal of existing observation tower and construction of a new observation tower; construction of concrete generator pads; enclosing existing mess pavilion to include electrical work; construction of a target storage shed and an ammunition breakdown building to include electrical work; removal of existing moving target storage buildings; construct and install range limit markers; repair existing concrete firing line; replacement of existing mover track; level, clear and improve existing road surfaces in strict accordance with the Statement of Work, specifications, and drawings and subject to the terms and conditions of the contract. The contract type shall be "Firm Fixed Price Construction". This procurement is Set-Aside for small business concerns pursuant to the Department of Defense reinstatement of Small Business Set-Asides for certain acquisitions under the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 234990. This procurement is subject to availability of funds and is estimated to be between $500,000 and $1,000,000. The anticipated issue/posting date will be on or about July 24, 2001. The DUE DATE for the solicitation shall be 30 days after actual issuance/posting on Fort Drum's Web Page. All responsible small businesses may submit a bid, which will be considered. The solicitation will not be mailed out and no Bidder's Mailing List (BML) will be maintained. The entire bid package will be available for downloading from the Fort Drum web page, no hard copies will be provided. All sources wishing to bid are required to monitor the Fort Drum Contracting web page for any/all amendments to the solicitation. Failure to respond to any amendments may render the bid to be considered as non-responsive and thereby rejected. The bids must be supplied in hard copy form to the Directorate of Contracting, Fort Drum, NY, no electronic bids will be accepted.
