Description

This is an intent to award a Sole Source Contract with JET Computer Services to provide WINDOWS 2000 Security Course to USASOC Information System Administrators under FAR Part 6.302-1 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The course will consist of a three (3)week training period, twentty (20) students per week for a total of sixty students. The 5-Day Hands-On Workshop focusing on Security for Windows 2000 network with the following Seminar Objectives: (1) Understanding the Various Levels of Security and Security Components; (2) Understand Kerberos and how it is implemented in Windows 2000; (3)How to Control Network Access with Permissions,and IPSec; (4) Initiate File system encryption; (5) Clarify Processes for Authentication and Logon (6) How to Establish Secuiry Administration through Active directory, (7) Define and Customize Group policy using Standard Naming Conventions; (8) Design and implement an Network Security Plan and (10) Address current security Holes, and how to guard against exploitation. The NAICS Code for this requirement is 611420 and the FSC is U012. This contract will be for the period 6-24 August 2001. The proposed contract is for training with only one source. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to responed to this requirement or submit proposals. This Notice of Intent is not a Request for Competitive Proposals. However, the Governmemt will consider all proposals received within 15 days after date of publication of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is soley within the discretion of the Government.
