Description

The USDA Forest Service Region 1, intends to acquire non-personal, professional services from a contractor experienced in obtaining Supplemental Type Certificates (STC) from the Federal Aviation Administration. The contractor shall provide all management, supervision, material, tools, supplies, equipment, and labor necessary to obtain for the USDA Forest Service Amendment(s) to the USDA Forest Service owned STC #SH261WE entitled "Installation of Rappelling Kit Support Structures in accordance with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). . ." . The USDA Forest Service intends to award a firm-fixed price contract for these STC Amendment(s). Solicitation No. R1-01-36 will be issued as a Request for Proposals. This will be a best-value award. The Evaluation Criteria in order of importance are: Past Performance, Viability of Proposed Approach, and Accessibility to appropriate airframes for conformity inspections and associated pull test(s). Price will be evaluated but not weighted. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 97-21. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) codes for this procurement are 488190, 541690, 541330, and 541420. Solicitation will be available approximately July 31, 2001, with proposals due approximately August 30, 2001. Final dates will be listed in the solicitation package and the dates may change based on availability date of the solicitation package.
