Description

The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) plans to award a purchase order to the University of Tennessee to enhance the National Highway Planning Network (NHPN). The enhancements will include incorporating intersection detail, developing the Geographic Data Warehouse viewer and maintenance applications. Since the inception of the NHPN in 1993, the University of Tennessee has been integral in building the NHPN database, developing database structures, and geographic information systems components. Because this specific work requires a thorough understanding of the FHWA database components, data items, and computer systems applications and the University of Tennessee possesses a long history with this database,they are the only known source that can complete the project. This is a Simplified Acquisition and the anticipated award date is on or about July 23, 2001.
