Description

Background "MEMORY AND UPGRADES TO BSI MODEL 150/12 DIGITIZER. The solicitation number is F33601-01-T-0509. This proposed contract is to procure one BSI model 150/12 Memory Printed Circuit Board (PCB) and two BSI model 150/12 removable 5GB hard drives. This equipment will be used to upgrade a BSI model 150/12 Digitizer already in place. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1) and FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii). The proposed source is Balogh-Shoenhofer, Inc. (BSI) of Ohio. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement or submit quotations. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations. However, the Government will consider all quotations/responses received within ten (10) days of issuance of this notice. This acquisition is considered a commercial item. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Mr. Michael Higgins has been appointed as Ombudsman to hear concerns from offerors, or potential offerors, during the proposal development. The purpose of the Ombudsman to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate Government personnel. Existence of the Ombudsman does not diminish the authority of the program director or the Contracting officer. Accordingly, the Ombudsman does not participate in the preparation of solicitations, the evaluation of proposals or the source selection process and, therefore, for routine matters on individual solicitations, please contact the buyer at the telephone number listed herein.
