Description

Notice of availability of a prospectus for the award of a concession contract authorizing the operation of food service and retail sales at the Jordan Pond House, and limited merchandising facilities at Cadillac Mountain and Thunder Hole Information Centers for the public within Acadia National Park, Bar Harbor, Maine for a period of ten years. Operations are conducted from approximately May 1st to October 20th. Annual gross receipts for 2000 were $3,779,889. The Director, National Park Service, has determined that this is not a qualified new concession contract as annual gross receipts are estimated to be greater than $500,000 in the first 12 month of its term. Therefore, pursuant to 36 CFR Part 51.36, no preferred offeror for this contract exists. Offers are due September 18, 2001.
