Description
The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12 and the Simplified Acquisition Procedures set forth in FAR Part 13. This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, which is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ); quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Offerors are required to use the On-Line RFQ system to submit their quote. The On-line RFQ system is linked above or it may be accessed at http://procurement.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/EPS/bizops.cgi?gr=C&pin=. The information required by FAR Subpart 12.6 is included in the on-line RFQ. NASA/GSFC plans to acquire 1. Qty. 8 -- Multi-channel charge amplifiers that meet the attached specifications and 2. Qty. 64 -- Accelerometer cables 10 meters long. TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS FOR SOLICITATION 415-20152-0000-919 ITEM 1 (DESCRIPTION) Quanity -- (8) -- Multi-channel charge amplifiers that meet the following specifications: 1) Each of the eight charge amplifiers are to provide 8 channels of acceleration signals and shall have a separately regulated power supply. 2) Inputs: a) Charge Input -- any single ended piezoelectric transducer with shunt resistance > 10 megohms. Charge Calibration -- must provide a series 1 KpF +/- 1/2% capacitor for connection to any charge input. b) Voltage Input -- will have a Coaxial connection to a remote pre-amp/self amplified accelerometer- constant current internally adjustable from 2 to 6mA-24VDC compliance voltage. Voltage Calibration -- must provide decoupling of the DC current from the external calibration signal source after connection to any voltage input. 3) Outputs: a) Rear -- will have BNC output connector +/- 10 V pk at 10 mA total current with a switch selection of 10 or 100 mV/g b) Front -- will have BNC output connector same as rear, buffered from rear and short circuit protected 4) Input sensitivity normalization shall be provided by a range switch (10 or 100 mV-pC/g max) and a precision 10 turn dial for 2 ranges: 1-10 pC-mV/g and 10-100 pC-mV/g. 5) Noise : 0.005 pC RMS + 0.0015 pC/nF source capacitance RTI plus 0.1 mV p-p RTO with 5kHz LPF 6) Unit shall have the following front panel controls: a) Input Sensitivity Range (10 max, 100 max) b) Input Sensitivity Vernier (0.03 to 1.03 times max value) 10 turn precision pot and dial input selector (charge or voltage) c) Output Sensitivity -- 10, 100 mV/g d) Buffered output 7) Shall have the following rear panel controls and connectors: a) Charge input -- isolated miniature coax b) Voltage input -- isolated BNC c) Output -- isolated BNC d) Internal & external ground switch e) Line voltage selector switch -- 115/230 V f) charge and voltage calibration connectors 8) Power requirement -- 105 -- 125/ 210 -- 250 VAC; 50/60 Hz, 12 VA 9) Physical dimensions; Must be able to mount in a standard 19 inch rack. ITEM 2 (DESCRIPTION) Quantity (64) -- Accelerometer cable 10 meters long Questions regarding this acquisition must be submitted in writing (e-mail is preferred) no later than 6/29/01.
