Description

The Walla Walla District Corps of Engineers intends to award a SOLE SOURCE commercial item contract to Hathaway Corporation in accordance with the authority in FAR 13.5. Subject contract will be for component parts for the Hathaway Sequence of Events Recorders (SER) needed to implement the new Generic Data Acquisition and Control System (GDACS) at the four Lower Snake River plants and Dworshak Dam. The Hathaway SER is the tool used to precisely record the sequence of events, thus allowing analysis of system disturbances. After extensive research and testing the Hathaway SER was the option selected to meet Government needs. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received in response to this notice will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The size standard for small business concerns under NAICS 3345219 is 500 employees.
