Description
The Coastal Systems Station, Panama City, Florida intends to issue a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for the acquisition of 8 each tow cables. The tow cable shall be an instrumentation and control, single coax cable, with the following requirements: The tow cable shall contain a copper shield. The tow cable shall have an outer armored stainless steel layer, grade 316 torque balanced. The tow cable shall have an outer diameter not to exceed .525 inches. The tow cable shall have a minimum-working load rating of 4000 LBS and a minimum breaking strength of 16000 LBS. These mechanical strengths shall have a tolerance of +-2%. The tow cable shall have a minimum bend diameter not to exceed 22 inches. The tow cable shall have a voltage rating, center conductor to shield of no less than 1000 volts nominal, and shield to armor of no less than 1000 volts nominal. The tow cable shall be 1100 fee (-0 feet/+ 25 feet) long. The tow cable shall have characteristic impedance rating of 50 ohms at 1 MHz. The tow cable attenuation shall be minimized and shall not exceed 10 DB per 1000 feet of cable at 15 MHz. NAICS is 421510.
