Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number N00173-01-R-DB03 is issued as a request for proposal (RFP). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-27 and DFARS Change Notice 20001213. The North American Industry classification code is 336415 with a small business size standard of 1000 employees. CLIN 0001, This is a full and open competitive acquisition. The contractor shall manufacture two (2) propellant tanks in accordance with the Statement of Work and Specifications. Specific guidance to prepare proposals is also provided. These documents can be accessed via http://heron.nrl.navy.mil/contracts/rfplist.htm. The period of performance/delivery date is 420 days from date of contract award. The contractor shall deliver supplies, all transportation charges paid, to destination in accordance with the clause in titled FAR 52.247-34 FOB Destination (NOV 1991).
