Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items = prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 and FAR = Subpart 13.5, as supplemented with additional information included in = this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; = proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be = issued. This is a request for proposal (RFP). The 11th Contracting = Squadron intends to procure solicitation number F80211-1135-0100 and = will be awarded as a Firm Fixed price purchase order. The purpose of = this order is to provide lodging, meals, meeting space for = approximately 120 teenagers and adults for the 2001 Air Force Youth of = the Year Teen Forum. The rooms will be double occupancy for 120 = personnel for 25-26 July 2001 and for 25 personnel on 27 July 2001. The = double occupancy is for 40 rooms and 20 rooms at single rate. The = Hotel must be able to provide a total of 6 meals between 25-27 July = 2001. The following meals are required 25 July 2001 Dinner only; 26 = July 2001 3 meals, Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner; and 2 meals, 27 July = 2001 Breakfast and Lunch. The performance period is from 25 July 2001 = through 27 July 2001. The hotel must be located less than a mile from = the Pentagon which is located in Arlington, VA, immediately west of the = Potomac River in the vacinity of Hayes Street, 700 Army-Navy Drive, = Pentagon City?s Macy's Department Store, which anchors the eastern end = of the Pentagon City mall. The Pentagon is less than a five-minute = walk. The Hotel must allow a reasonable cancellation date no earlier = than three weeks. The Hotel must be capable of providing a meeting = space of theatre style to support 150 personnel for 26 July 2001 and to = support 25 personnel on 27 July 2001. Award will be based upon the = responsive contractor with the overall total cost that is most = advantageous to the Government. Please provide your itemized cost = outlining the above requirements. The lodging rates and meal cost = cannot exceed the Governments? per diem rates as indicated in the Joint = Travel Regulation. Award date is expected on or about 30 June 01. The = solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those = in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 97-23. The NAICS = Code assigned to this project is 721110 and Standard Industrial Class = (SIC) is 7011. The requirement is for the United States Air Force, = 1600 Air Force Pentagon, Washington, and District of Columbia. In order = to be considered the offer shall include a completed copy of the = provision at FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and = Certifications-Commercial Items (ALT I) (FEB 2001) and the contractor = must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) prior = to being eligible for award.
