Description

The United States Postal is issuing a solicitation to purchase 2,265 Low Emission Vehicle (LEV) diesel powered, tilt cab over engine (COE) cargo van trucks, having 8,165 kilogram (18,000lb) payload minimum 20_ nominal cargo body and 9,981 kilogram (22,000 lb) minimum payload 24_ Nominal Cargo Body. Proposals are due 4:00 pm e.s.t. May 15, 2001. Any resulting contract is planned for mid-August and is contingent upon approval of funding by the Postal Service Board of Governors. Delivery is expected to be completed by September 2002.
