Description

The Naval Air Systems Command intends to issue an order under Basic Ordering Agreement# N00019-00-G-0116 with McDonnell Douglas Corporation, A Wholly Owned Subsidiary of the Boeing Company, P.O. Box 516, St. Louis, MO 62166-0516 to incorporate engineering change proposal MDC-AV8B-00270R2. The ECP represents a part of the Open System Core Architecture Requirements (OSCAR) Program. The OSCAR program will update the existing avionics of the AV-8B with an open system architecture using Object Oriented Design and Higher Order Language. This order will be issued on a sole source basis to MDC, the only source with the pre-requisite knowledge and experience in the design and development of the AV-8 Aircraft.
