Description
Furnish all labor, materials and equipment necessary to replace existing backflow preventers at USCG Activities San Diego. Work includes but is not limited to: A. Replace existing, two inch, pressure vacuum breakers/reduced pressure type backflow preventers (RPBP) at seven locations. B. Provide a new, accessible, ?-inch RPBP assembly and piping in boiler room dedicated to the soda machines in the galley as indicated. C. Relocate the existing 1-inch RPBP assembly in the mechanical room. D. Replace the existing, double check assembly and check valve with a new reduced pressure detector assembly (RPDA) and wafer type check valve in four inch fire sprinkler piping corner on Hangar #2. E. Replace existing RPBP with new RPDA. F. Provide a new RPBP assembly in supply line outside the mechanical room. G. Replace existing RPBP with new RPDA. H. Replace pressure reducing valve (PRV) and gate valve in the valve pit with a new, above ground gate valve, strainer, PRV, and relief valve. Trench, backfill and repave the site to match the surrounding pavement. I. Replace PRV, Y-strainer, and piping inside the valve pit to a new, above ground location. Add 2? piping and valves. Modify existing covers of the pit as needed. J. Provide new concrete pads. K. Disinfect new water piping and joints affected by contractor?s operations. The estimated cost of this procurement is between $25,000 and $100,000. Performance period is 90 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed. This procurement is subject to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program and is open to large and small business participation. The applicable NAICS code is 235110. Small Business size standard is $11.5 million. All responsible sources may submit a bid, which will be considered.
