Description

The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) is soliciting proposals from small businesses, under FAR Part 13 -- SIMPLIFIED ACQUISITION PROCEDURES, with the capability to photocopy contaminated confidential Social Security Case Files (approximately 350 case files; up to 125,000 pages). This copying would involve removing staples, separating multi-page forms, handling different type of paper, reassembling and sealing originals so that they never come in contact with the copies. The contractor must provide modified Level D Protection (as set forth in the Department of Health and Human Services' Occupational Safety and Health Guidance Manual for Hazardous Waste Site Activities 1985) to their employees while handling original case files. This is a 100% Small Business Set-Aside. Award of a contract resulting from this solicitation is restricted too small businesses. It is anticipated that a two-month purchase order will be awarded. Note Number 1 applies. The solicitation will be issued on or about June 18, 2001 with a closing date on or about July 2, 2001.
