Some representatives will want to meet with businesses in the engineering, architectural, construction and research and development areas. Others will work with any type of business. This is an opportunity to meet the buyers, learn what works best and network with new customers and potential clients. Presentations throughout the day will cover the following topics: The Naval Underwater Systems Center will provide information about purchasing opportunities with small businesses specific to his agency. The Deputy for Small Business Office in Groton, CT, will discuss the jurisdictions and procedures for his office, which is the regional purchasing office for all non-construction purchases for all northeast regional activities of the US Navy. The US General Services Administration buys everything. Find out how to get on the Federal Supply Schedule, the preferred method of government contracting.
