Description
Correction: This action initially published in the CBD dated April 5, 2001, has been corrected as follows; please refer to the original CBD announcement. Case Management/Electronic Case Files (CM/ECF) is an Internet browser-based system and in order to work, recommend user has: a Netscape browser version 3.0/higher (128 bit encryption), Windows, Windows 95, Macintosh; Linux or Solaris operating system with mininum of 8 Mg memory (32 MB is recommended); Adobe Acrobat 3.0 or higher to convert documents from a word processor format to portable document format (PDF); a PDF-compatible word processor like Macintosh or Windows-based version of WordPerfect and Word; a modem supporting a transfer rate of 28.8 kbs or higher (56 kbs is recommended); and Internet access through an Internet service provider using Point to Point Protocol (PPP). Forms are generated from the judicial developed legacy case management system which CM/ECF is replacing. Forms generation will be an integral component part of the CM/ECF application. From the legacy case management system, no COTS solutions are used. The main platform runs on a 4 or 8 Intel Pentium Processor with a Unix operating system. The AOUSC will consider products that run on other supplemental equipment and is looking at both outside and internal solutions for CM/ECF; no determination has been made. The forms generation requirements are still being determined. To date, no contractors are working on this initiative. There are no security requirements. The AOUSC's website is: http://www.uscourts.gov.; once at the site, insert the key words "CM/ECF" in the search box. Pricing for COTS packages is requested only at this time. Previous information provided in response to the original CBD should not be resubmitted; only additional information related to this correction. The cutoff date for information is June 14, 2001. No telephone calls please. Fax number is (202 502-1066.*****
