Description

The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Program Support Center is soliciting proposals from the fifteen (15) National Centers of Excellence in Women's Health (CoE) Contractors to investigate: (1) the changes in pharmocokinetics (PK) and pharmacodynamics (PD) of prescription medications used in pregnant women during their 2nd and 3rd trimesters of pregnancy, and (2) to demonstrate that PK and PD studies which provide important dosing information to health care providers can be ethically and economically conducted in pregnant women. Multiple contracts, not exceeding five, shall be awarded . The term of this requirement is anticipated to be 24 months. A Request for Proposal (RFP) will be issued to only the 15 CoE's. The RFP will be available approximately 45 days after issuance of this notice. The closing date will be approximately thirty (30) days after issuance of the RFP. This requirement has been justified in accordance with FAR 6.302-1(d). See Numbered Note 22.
