Description

This is a COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION for modified commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONSTITUES THE ONLY SOLICITATION; quotes are being requested and a WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. The solicitation number is DAAB07-01-Q-D620. Solicitation requirements and incorporated provisions are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circulars. This acquisition is for the procurement of Starter, Engine, Electrical, NSN: 2920-01-219-8200, under the terms and conditions of an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) type contract for a period of five ((5) years. The proposed Delivery Schedule is as follows: Year 1, 5 each 15 Days After Contract (DAC), 20 each 60 DAC, 25 each 90 DAC, 20 each month thereafter until completion of Year 1; Year 2, 10 each 395 DAC and 20 each month thereafter until completion of Year 2; Year 3, 10 each 760 DAC and 20 each month thereafter until completion of Year 3; Year 4, 10 each 1125 DAC and 20 each month thereafter until completion of Year 4; Year 5, 10 each 1490 DAC and 20 each month thereafter until completion of Year 5. Actual delivery dates and locations will be definitized in each delivery order as issued. Packaging and packing shall be IAW the contractor's best commercial packaging, ASTM-D 3951-98. Bar Code Markings are required IAW ANSI/AIM-BCI, USSC 39 and MIL-STD-129. Quotes are requested from authorized dealers/distributors of ONAN CORP and MITSUBISHI, IAW Part Numbers 191-1550 and M002T65711. Offerors are requested to provide quotes for Contract Line Item Number (CLIN) 0001AA, Range Quantities: 05-60, 61-90, 91-120; CLIN 0002AA-0005AA, Range Quantities: 5-20, 21-45, 46-120. Award will be based upon the lowest price, technically acceptable offeror. FAR Provision 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors Commercial, applies to this acquisition. The successful offeror shall complete FAR Provision 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications Commercial Items, which would otherwise be included in a written solicitation, prior to award. Offerors are advised that applicable clauses shall be incorporated into the award document. Quotes are due not later than 1:30 PM, EDT on 22 June 2001.
