Description

The U.S. Army CECOM is conducting a market survey for parties interested/eligible to provide Lensatic, Magnetic Compasses which meet the requirements of MIL-PRF-10436M dated 15 September 1998, with Amendment 1 dated 16 April 2001. NSN is 6605-01-196-6971. Anticipated quantities to be procured range from 16,000 to 38,400 per year for up to ten years. If potential offereror intends to utilize radioactive material (e.g. tritium), they must have and cite applicable U.S. NRC license for the manufacture and for the distribution of these compasses to persons totally exempted from licensing requirements, and have experience in obtaining, using and controlling such material. Describe alternate design concept and materials to be utilized, if applicable to meet the 12 year self luminosity required. Describe capability and experience producing compasses or similar items. A small business set aside is being considered. Mention if you are a large or small business and include any small business classification such as woman owned, 8(a), disadvantaged or Hubzone.
