Description

Under authority granted in FAR 6.302-1, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency intend to seek a quotation on a sole source basis from Microbial Insights for Phospholipid fatty acid and denaturing gradient gel electrophoresis analysis of microbial communities. This work requires a contractor with the ability to quantitatively characterize microbial communities in environmental samples, ie. Sediments. The characterization must utilize molecular methods not cultural methods to avoid the bias inherent in cultural methods. This procurement will be accomplished under FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. Interested firms may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirements.
