OMI/CH2M Hill acting as a procurement agent on behalf of and solely for the Alexandria General Organization for Sanitary Drainage (AGOSD), Alexandria, Egypt is posting this advertisement seeking expressions of interest from U.S. firms only, for inclusion on a "Distribution List". Firms seeking inclusion on this list will receie copies of Invitation for Bids (when issued) for commodity procurements of General Purpose ADP Equipment, Software, Supplies, and Support Equipment" as explained below. This blanket advertisement will be valid for one year from the date of publishing covering the following three procurement packages; i.e. IFBs listed below, anticipated to be issued within one year. There will be no further notice before issuance of each IFB. Firms that believe they have experience in providing silimar equipment should send a written request to Mr. Jim Oskins, OMI, Fax: (303) 779-4084, e-mail: joskins@ch2m.com or mail to P.O. Box 6607, Englewood, CO 80155-6607. Fax and e-mail requests will be considered. This request shall include name of company, full address, telephone number, fax number, and e-mail address for contact. It is the firm's responsiblility to ensure update of its information on the AGOSD's "Distribution List: in case of any changes. The following is a list of anticipated IFBs with related equeipment to be publchased under each specific IFB. The packages below include various commodities with similar functions. IFB 99-50, AGOSD Management Information System, IFB 99-51, AGOSD Automated Mapping System, IFB 99-52, AGOSD Automated Archiving System Fixed Price Contracts are anticipated. Payment will be made in U.S. currency through a Direct Letter of Commitment (DL/COM) between USAID and the Supplier. Financing will be under USAID project 263-0241. Bidders will be given 45 days from the date of issuance of each specific IFB to prepare and submit their bids. Bids will be opened publicly at the time, date and adress specified in each IFB. Late submission of bids will not be considered. Bids must remain valid and open for acceptance for a minimum of 120 days from date the date set for bid opening. The Government of the Arab Republic of Egypt and the U.S. Agency for International Development encourage and welcome in this activity the participation, to the fulles extent possible, of minorities and women both as individuals and as members of contracting or sub-contracting firms. In this respect, it is anticipated that the prime contractor will make every practicable use of such personnel and firms. The preferred method of distribution of USAID procurement information is via the Internet. This CBD Notice can be viewed and downloaded using the Agency Web Site.
