Description

The National Institute of Standards & Technology (NIST) proposes to negotiate on a sole source basis contract under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1) with Coherent Laser Group of Denver, CO for a Verdi Laser System with the following critical specifications: (1) Diode-pumped. (2) Solid-state. (3) Single frequency. (4) Linearly polarized. (5) Wavelength: 480-540 nm. (6) Linewidth: less than 5 MHz over 50 msec. (7) Output power continuously variable from less than 50 mW to greater than 2 W. (8) Power stability: plus or minus 2 percent over 2 hours after a 15 minute warmup. (9) Noise: less than 0.03 percent rms from 10 Hz to 1 Ghz. (10) Pointing stability: less than 7 microrad/C. (11) Temperature-stabilized etalon. (12) Water-cooled base with attached solid-state chiller. This procurement is being conducted per FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures (Under 100K).
